Yaaaaaa...another blog done on the right day!

It was one of those days where it didn't have a big impact. It wasn't everywhere i looked. It wasn't around me everywhere. I didn't have a deep desire for it....it was great!

Day 13!

Well today was a busy one! I'm not going to waste any time and jump right into it (mainly cause it's 12 o'clock a.m. and i have to wake up at 6:30 to pick up Brenden, get breakfast and be at church by 7:45). I was able to sleep until about 10:00 which was nice after getting to bed around 2 in the morning last night. After i woke up i met Kristi, Kara, Aaron (a friend of Kara's) and Kristi's mom at the mall. They were doing some wedding shopping. After we were done there we went to get some new disc golf disc's because we were all going to play at Meadow brook today but we didn't have a disc for everyone. So.....we got a couple used disc's and i got myself a brand new disc! I was so happy. My first brand new disc. I got a Star Orc. I love it. Anyways when we left Play It Again Sports everyone had a disc to use. Everyone was hungry, except me, so we went back to the mall so they could eat lunch. From there we went to Meadow brook and played a round of disc golf. We had a blast. Unfortunately, because i was breaking in a new disc, i went 3 over on the course. Not great but not bad.

From there the family parted ways to head back to EC and we went back to Aaron's house. Kristi took a nap and i wrote yesterdays blog and did some other stuff on the computer. From there i got ready to go to church to help lead worship at the Frank Reynold's Focus On event that Christ's Church hosted (which went amazing). Frank brought down the house. In a nut shell he told us as leaders of our church's we need to: 1)Focus on the Challenge (God's commission to us to reach those who don't know Christ), 2)Focus on Culture (know the environment and culture around us to be able to make things appealing and relevant to the people around us) and 3) Focus on Creativity (make sure that we are not doing the same old things, instead try new, exciting things that will make people curious and wanting to be involved). Everyone involved did a great job. After that i helped clean up and then head back to the house to hang out with Kristi. On the way she had me stop and pick her up some grub for her cause she had been at the house for like 4 hours with no car and not much to eat.

When i got home we hung out for a while. Aaron came home about 10:30 from being at the beach after prom. We all have been hanging out for a little while and we have had a great day but it's time for bed! Goodnight until tomorrow!

I hope most of the day's are more like today....that would be nice. 13 down....still quit a few to go!

Yesterdays the next day.....again!

Two days of sitting around doing nothing and it's everywhere is hard to deal with. It's real interesting all the opportunities there are for it. You never notice until it's not a part of you!

Soooooooo, once again i am doing yesterdays blog (day 11-April 23) today (day 12-April 24). It's all good, it's getting better. I'm getting better. Yesterday was different...a lot different. Most Friday's i do what i did this past Thursday, which was going to Williamston to hang out with Kristi and spend the day at the day care with her. But because of all the stuff going on at Christ's Church this weekend and me being involved with it all, i stayed in Greenville Thursday night into Friday. So yesterday afternoon me, Aaron and all his friends got around 9 o'clock to go play disc golf. Actually i forgot to mention the fact that the 6 of them came into my room and all jumped on me to wake me up. That was fun. Disc golf was great. I went 1 under again. I was very happy about that. I hope it becomes my norm. After disc golf the rest of the day was kinda uneventful. Me and Aaron went back home to hang out for a while until he had to get ready for prom! When he started to get ready around 3 i went and took a delicious nap for about 2 hours.

When i woke up i got ready and went to the Church because i was doing child care for all the people bringing kids to the Focus On event we are holding at our church. That was crazy! I had help but it was a wide range of kids and they were running around everywhere! But it was good because i had help i was able to stock the drink machine for six78 tomorrow night and fix the signs for the new drinks we got. So that was nice. After all the kids left me, Brenden, Dave, Jay and Mr. Jerry (for just a min.) played ping pong and hung out in theLOFT for a while. We had a blast. Quick funny story. While we were up there Brenden thought it would be a good idea to through a dodge ball at me. Well long story short he did and i chased him around to get him back. When i was chasing him he ran down the stairs and almost got away. But right as he thought he was away i threw the ball between some bars and nailed him right in the back of the head! It was an amazing shot and was hilarious to watch. It was awesome. We all laughed so hard.

After we browed down in theLOFT we went and rented a movie and all went back to Brenden's to spend the night and hang out there. It was like old times when i used to live there. We hung out, watched a movie and goofed around. We had a great time.

I went to bed around 2. After i got ready for bed Brenden read me a bed time story from a biography about Adolf Hitlers life (we chose that book because his cousin Austin is doing a research paper on Adolf Hitler and left a bunch of books at his house) hahaha! I slept so great after that.....haha!

I got a great night sleep and you can know more about today's day later!

Sometimes, deep down inside, i would really like to but i can't, i just can't!

Day 11...on day 11?

You think about it. Everyone talks about it. People ask you about it. It never stops.

Yes ladies and gentlemen day 11 is going to be done on day 11...kinda. Actually it's technically being done on day 12 because it's 12:50 right now. But, who's counting. I'm getting it done before i go to bed and that's what counts.

So today was a little crazy. First things first...the day started off excellent because i didn't wake up till 12 (actually i woke up at 11 to put in a load of laundry, then went back to sleep)! Then i was woken up by the prettiest thing I've ever seen in my life...Kristi came home for lunch and woke me up. We had lunch together and then i took her back to work. I was going to do some things and then go up to the day care and hang out with her till she got off, like normal. Well everything had been normal up until then.

I called Kristi to let her know that i was going to be a little late and she told me to come right away....! Hmmmmmmm...what could this mean i thought to myself? Well to make a long story/lots of stupid drama/irresponsible management short, Kristi had some issues at work that really upset her. Everything is good now and has been resolved but she was so hurt. I hate seeing her like the way she was today. When times like the one that happened today at the daycare happens and the people you love the most get hurt, you really learn how much you love them because you feel with them the same way they are feeling. When Kristi isn't happy and really upset and hurt it makes me feel the same way because i hate to see her like that. I love her so much. But enough of that mushy gushy stuff...haha. After she got off work i had to get back to her grandmas house so i could get ready to go because i had to be back in Greenville for band practice.

I got back to Greenville just in time for band practice, which was at 7. It was a great band practice tonight and worship for the Frank Reynolds event and church on Sunday morning is going to be great. Come check it out! After that i went home to Aaron's and browed down with him and some of his friends for a while and now I'm going to hit the sack because I'm actually going to play disc golf with them in the morning at like 9 o'clock. Not looking forward to waking up that early but i love disc golf and i love hanging out with Aaron.

Sooooooooooooooooooooo...................I'm out!

O and on a little side note, the Cavs lost tonight. Nothing hurt but I'm still mad!

Another day down....am i their yet?

Day 10...a day late!

It stares you in the face. You never realize its a disease until its not around. I don't want the desire, i don't need it.

You know those times when you've had a long week or a long couple of days and you get to a point where your "kinda" done and you can relax and don't want to do anything? Ya, well that's what happen yesterday and that's why yesterdays blog is being done today. Haha. Yesterday was a sort of slow, relaxing, easy day (which was great). Me and Chris went in and worked on more camp stuff and i have to say it looks like it will again be the "BEST WEEK OF CAMP...ever (said in a soft voice, haha)! It's coming along great and we both feel great about it.

Around lunch time Chris and I took a friend of ours Rob to a job interview and while he was there we went ahead and stocked up on drinks for theLOFT for six78 and theWIRE. After we did that i took Chris to his car and went and waited for Rob to get done so i could give him a ride back home.

After that it was Williamston bound. When i got to Williamston I got there in enough time to pick up Kristi. When we got home operation "Relax for the rest of the night, hang out, do a little wedding stuff and a whole lot of nothing else besides sleep" was underway! haha. We had a great evening of relaxation and enjoying our time together. We did get to work on some registry stuff for the wedding which was great and actually a lot of fun because it meant that soon we would have a lot of that stuff that would belong to us and would be in our house that we lived in TOGETHER!!!!!

When all that was said and done i rubbed her head so she could fall asleep and then i went to my room and did my daily quite time stuff which was great cause even though it was late it was quiet and it was really good. But...i got real tired quick...o ya cause it was 2:30 in the morning...and i began to get sleepy so i hit the sack.

That was it for me last night! Today's to come later today!

I don't want to think about it. I want to go one day...one day without thinking about it.

Day 5......through 9?

Jeeeeeeeeeez! It's STILL only just the beginning...STILL have a long way to go. But it is moving right along, and like the man himself (Jesus) says in Matthew, we need to focus on today and let tomorrow worry about its self, take one day at a time. At the same time, the desire is still around. It's going away slowly, but still there. Everywhere i go, everywhere i look....It's there. The book is coming along and so is personal time. I got a little bit behind...but I took some time tonight and got caught up. So I'm going to continue to work at being discipline at doing this daily and helping it to become a habit. I'm doing this, It's happening!

Man, when you get behind it's so hard to get caught up. Not only that but there's so much that goes on. So...I'm going to use this blog to, as short as possible, just give a very brief update of the last 4 days, and then today in full.

Day 5 (April 16)

I got to sleep in a little. Went and hung out with Kristi at the day care like normal. Went to Kara's game vs. Southside (they got smoked). Went and spent the night in Camden.

Day 6 (April 17)

We were able to wake up in time to get Bellcross breakfast sandwiches (Mmmmmm). Went Spencer and Ali's wedding. Congrats to them. Went to Greenville to hang out. While we were there we played a round of disc golf (i went 6 over). Me, Kristi, Kara, Paul, Lisa, Aaron and Beth went to Outback to have my birthday dinner, lots of laughs.

Day 7 (April 18)

Church (It was great. Aaron and Will did a great job leading, Tim did a great job and it was great that the whole family could be there.) Disc Golf after church with the Pipkins and the Woolards (i went 1 UNDER that game). Coldstone! Pipkins stuck around for most of six78. We had six78 and it was awesome. We had our record attendance. Then on to Williamston.

Day 8 (April 19)

Me and Chris worked on stuff for his week of camp all morning. Went and had lunch with our boy Sam. I took a nap before small group. Went to small group. That was great as normal. Then me, Cameron and Aaron went and played some more disc golf (lots of searching and wounds). Then...the greatest part of the week so far, the three of us plus Brenden went to East Coast wings and Aaron did the East Coast Challenge and eat an Insanity wing. It was amazing. I will have video later. Aaron was hurting. While all this was going on i was able to watch the Cavs win game 2 against the Bulls. Man i love the Cavs!

Day 9 (April 20)

Whew, now that I'm caught up i can share today and work hard at staying caught up. Today is Tuesday and that is staff meeting day. We had a great, very productive staff meeting today. We got a lot done. After that me and Chris did our lunch thing at his house. When we got back to the church we did what we always do on Tuesdays and finished getting ready for theWIRE. Before theWIRE, Brenden came out with us and we hung out for a little while. We actually played more disc golf. I think i now have a record for consecutive days playing disc golf at 4 and i will probably play tomorrow. haha. Then of course we had theWIRE. It was a great night with amazing worship, and a great video message brought by Craig Groeschel. But we were back to about 9 students. Of course numbers aren't the most important thing. There still important because with numbers comes good atmosphere and more teens to help guide their relationship with Christ. But probably the greatest part of the night was the prayer time afterward. We took some time to tell God (after hearing a message about worrying and trusting in God) that we will turn over the "numbers" situation to him and we will do our part, which is to PRAY! We realized that that is really all that we can do after a while. So we prayed for about 14 different people between about 11 of us. It was exactly what we needed to close of the night. God is good and he will do what he thinks is best and we must trust IN HIM.

After a long day i went out to play in the Christ's Church A softball team for the first preseason tournament. We lost, bad, but it was a blast. I always love getting out there and hustling my tale off and doing the best i can.

But, it is now 2:30 in the A.M. and i must go to bed because i have to be up at 8...but i am all caught up and back on schedule. It was worth staying up. As i have been thinking about getting caught up i have always reminded myself to remember why i am doing what I'm doing, and it's not just doing it as a routine (so when i get behind i just need to work on getting caught up), instead i am doing this to grow in my knowledge and relationship with God and to bring glory and honor to God. I have to make sure that if i am "catching" up, i am still focusing on what's most important instead of just "catching" up.

Night!

I can't loose focus. I have to be strong. This isn't for me! Faith and Sacrifice!

Day 4

I have so much access to it, everywhere! Everywhere I look…there it is. And the sucky thing is that I have to be very conscientious about it and disciplined to say no. It’s easier said than done that for sure. But I’m still good. 4 days…

Again I wasn’t able to get the 15th’s blog done yesterday so I’m doing it today, but it’s all good. Thursday’s right now are an interesting day. Me and Chris come in like any other day and work till about 12, like any other day. The only difference is that every other day besides Thursday that we work we break at around 12 for lunch…not Thursdays. On Thursdays we brake at about 12 so Chris can go hand out with the his family before he heads to Elizabeth City where he is teaching a class at MACU! It’s his first time (actually yesterday was his actual last class time, the other weeks are studying for exam and taking the exam) and he did a great job. All this to say about Chris one might wonder what that has to do with me. Well I also break around 12 to head to EC myself so that I can go to his class and help him out with anything he might need help with. That has been the normal Thursday this semester. The class goes from about 6-9 and after the class is over we both head back to Greenville/Williamston.

In between the time I get there and class there are other things I usually do. Sometimes on my way I stop by where Kristi works to say hey and give her a kiss! Other times when I get to EC I have a flag football game to play in. Yesterday I stopped by to say hey to Kristi in Williamston…o and give her a kiss. Haha. Then when I got to EC this time I had an appointment with my advisor Dr. Greene. We were able to sit down and get my fall schedule for my last year at MACU (YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!) figured out. The only unfortunate thing is I have 18 hours! That’s the biggest load of classes I’ve had yet at MACU. But I’ll be fine. I know it.

After that I was able to get up with my boy Jacob. We were able to hang out for a while. We threw the Frisbee around for a little bit, watched some of the other flag football game going on, grabbed some grub…we were just able to BROdown for a little while and it was great cause we don’t get to chill that much right now. That will be different next year cause he is sticking around MACU and getting his bachelors instead of his associates. So we will be able to hang out a lot. I’m real excited about that. Then I went to Chris’s class. In last night’s class Chris talked about Volunteers and the importance they play in ones ministry, well at least how they SHOULD! Class was over at 9 and then I headed to Williamston.

I got to Williamston about 10 and when I got there me and Kristi hung out for a while and then hit the sack. She always goes to bed earlier than me. I actually just rub her head so she can get to sleep quick and watch ESPN (not ESPN Bahgari, the sports channel. haha). Then I go to my room and chill till I go to bed.

That’s that for yesterday and today’s will be up later and on the right day…promise.

Grace and the Cross are two of the most beautiful things when it comes to Christianity!

I wish I could say I’m almost there…….but I’m not and I can’t.

Day 3

The day's with the most free time are the hardest...today was one of those days! Everyone talks about it...everyone does it!

After having gone to bed at 1 in the morning, 7 a.m. came awfully early! Today i went to New Bern, NC to meet with Greg Coverdale and Crystal Strawderman to work on stage design stuff for High School CCYC. That was extremely productive and we feel a lot better about stage design now after today. We met at this amazing coffee house that had the best coffee and breakfast ever! We worked for about 2 hours, then I headed back to Greenville, NC to get some work done with Chris.

When I got back to the church Lindsey and the kids were there having lunch with Chris. We all hung out for a while and had a blast. We always do! We had a little jam session...check out this video! She's been working on this little bouncing thing going on.

She can jam.

After Lindsey and the kids left me and Chris got back to work. We got some good work done. We were able to get a better grasp on the new curriculum we bought to use for Sunday school and small groups. He was also able to work on the website and get the rest of the spring break trip video blogs up.

Around 4 Chris went home to hang out with the fam. for a couple hours until the play (I'll explain more in a min.). That gave me a while to work on some personal things. It was a very relaxing but productive afternoon.

Around 6:45 p.m. I met Chris at South Central High School to see the play that two of the students in the youth group (Chandler Jenkins and Leah Shirley) wrote/acted in. It was GREAT! Me and Chris laughed the whole time. They all did an excellent job. And it was only about 45 mins. long, which is never a bad thing, haha.

When the play was over I headed back to Aaron's and we hung out for a while. I was able to get a little homework down which needed to happen. But i always love "bro"wing down with my boy Aaron.

Until day 4...I'm going to bed. Long day tomorrow too.

This seems like it will be an eternity.....

Day 2

Only the second day.........? Wow! You see it everywhere. 9 pages at a time...1 blog at a time...1 day at a time. It will happen. But it wont be easy!

Oh Tuesday...how you are the busiest day of my week! Yesterday was crazy (I'm actually doing Tuesday's on Wednesday because i was exhausted yesterday...but ill explain that shortly). I knew I needed to get some supplies for theWIRE (the high school ministry at Christ's Church in Winterville, NC) so i decided that i was going to do it before i went in to work. What i forgot was that on Tuesday's we have our weekly staff meeting...Ooops! By the time i got everything i needed for theWIRE i was already late for the meeting so i decided to just organize everything and straighten up theLoft (our teen center at Christ's Church) and not worry about going because i thought they would be pretty much done.

As i was in theLoft getting everything ready i got a text that read, "Where are you?" from Chris. I said "I'm in theLoft." He replied "Ah. I'm in the staff meeting!" Apparently they were still meeting. Haha. So i went down to meet with them until they were finished and as i walked in Chris said "We're done!" haha. Good times.

After that we quickly kicked in to our normal routine for Tuesday evenings. Long story short: we prepared pro presenter, Chris finished his message, had band practice, hung out with kids (which by the way we have been averaging around 10 students and i think we had about 15 or 16 last night), went in the worship room and had our program (Chris brought the message like always), we discussed some issues at our volunteer meeting that we always have after words, then everyone went home.....except me!

Marty Anderson stopped by to talk with some of our students and after everyone left me, Marty and Brent talked for an hour about the future (eventually the future will be unfolded!). Then me and Brent played a best 2 out of 3 of ping pong. When ever me, him or David White play each other there is some nasty ping pong spinning going on, i LOVE it!

After we were done and we left the church I got home about 11 o'clock. That was the latest i had ever gotten home after theWIRE. I was exhausted (like i said earlier, haha)! I was able to talk to my BEAutiful fiance for a while (that's always the highlight of my day). I was also able to do a little bit of my daily routine but i couldn't finish and had to go to sleep because i was so tired and it was 1 a.m. (not to mention i had to wake up at 7 to go to New Bern).

That was yesterday and i will do today's later...interesting!

I have only just begun....

The Beggining! Day 1

The first day...the first book...the first blog...the first time...! It was a tough first day, but...the first day is always the hardest!

Happy Birthday!!! Today is my 22nd birthday and it was a great one. I got more texts, tweets, face book messages and phone calls, in one day than I've ever had in my whole life! It was great. And I'm so thankful for the friends and family that i have. They are a great support team for me.

Other than it being my birthday, me and Chris were able to get the worship room fixed up and clean. We were able to do a little re-running of some cables and get all the instruments organized a little better. That will be very helpful for the future when we go to do worship and everything is the way it is supposed to be.

After that we went and had lunch at the Woolard residence. Always a great time. Then we went back to work to try and get some more work done. It might not have seemed like a lot, but...I was trained on how to run garage band and how to record music. We record a song today (Your my brother, your my friend) and it turned out pretty good.

After that we met up with Dave Dutton and my little pookie bear, Aaron Collins to play some disc golf. Great times. Actually Silas was there to and no matter where we are at or what we are doing there is never a dull moment with that knucklehead around! I love that kid. He's my boy!

After a little disc golf we had small groups at the Woolard house hold and enjoy some fellowship together. We just enjoyed each others company this time. Never thought roasting the mini marshmallows would be so good.

When small groups was over me, Katie and Aaron hung out and threw the Frisbee that Katie got me for my b-day around for a little bit.

Then Me and Aaron hung out for a little while. When we were done we went home and he went to bed and i worked on somethings. I also had a chance to talk to my brother which was great and always is.

Now its time to hit the sack.

A long road a head, but it will be well worth it!
